Who We Are

Paul Sinaly, MBA, CPA, Founder and Managing Partner

Paul has over 28 years of experience with Citigroup. As Senior Vice President for the Commercial and Business Banking Group in Central Manhattan, he managed 34 senior bankers in Central Manhattan, a $750MM business and the second largest territory for the bank in the country. In this role, Paul worked with and offered commercial clients from a variety of industries including Commercial Real Estate Financing, Commercial Lending, and Cash Management Solutions for expansion and working capital. Some of Paul’s clients were technology based companies that went from a business plan to a publicly-traded company.

More recently, Paul has been advising clients on M&A, Financial Control, and Enterprise Risk Management. He founded both P. Sinaly, CPA, P.C. and Private Equity Ventures, LLC. He also serves as a board member of the U.S District Export Council in New York, an adjunct professor at NYU, and is an active leader in the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants in the Banking Committee hosting technical seminars on Enterprise Risk Management with Community and Regional Bank CFO’s. He is active with both the New York Capital Roundtable and the National Venture Capital & Angel Investment Forum. Paul also advises specialized boutique investment banking firms in the New York City area on specific investment and capital raising opportunities.

He received his MBA and undergraduate degrees from St. John’s University.


Trang-Thu Tran, MBA - Partner

Trang has over 12 years of experience in financial services and private equity. Over the last five years, she was a principal at Brysam Global Partners, a private equity firm specializing in investing in small-to-medium size financial services companies in emerging and domestic markets. Trang has developed the firm’s investment strategy and has developed the investment criteria and evaluation process. From thorough research and targeted investment criteria, she has helped to invest over $650MM of equity capital in high-growth, high-potential companies and has reviewed and analyzed many other opportunities. In addition to the investment process, Trang works closely with all the portfolio companies and the management teams to achieve their financial goals by introducing and launching new products, expanding distribution networks, improving general business operational processes, and raising both equity and debt capital for growth.

Period to Brysam, Trang was Director of Strategy for Citigroup’s Global Transaction Services Business for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region covering Cash Management, Securities and Custody, and Fund Services where she helped the business to build strategic partnerships to enhance the company’s distribution channels and improve the companies sales strategies. She also has extensive strategic and operational experiences such as product development, marketing, and operations and technology in the Global Consumer Group, which oversaw Citi’s Retail Banking, Credit Cards, and Consumer Lending Business.

Trang has an MBA from Columbia University and a BA in Economics from Harvard University.
